The death has occurred of Fr. Edward (Ned) Rocks (89) C.Ss.R, of the Redemptorist Community, Dundalk, Co. Louth in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda on Sunday 20th July 2014.
Removal on Tuesday evening (22nd July) at 7.00pm to St Joseph’s Redemptorist Church for evening prayers.
Requiem Mass on Wednesday (23rd July) at 12.00 noon followed by burial in St Patrick’s Cemetery.

Fr. Rocks, a Dundalk native, was ordained in Galway in 1953. Following ordination, he spent forty one years in various Redemptorist Communities in the Philippines. Returning permanently to Ireland about eight years ago he was appointed to our community in Dundalk. For the past year or so he has been a resident in the Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home.
