We sadly announced the death of Fr. James (Jim) O’Connor of Mount St. Alphonsus community who died today, 18th April 2016.
May he Rest in Peace
Fr. Jim was born in Limerick on 7 July 1924, was professed in St. Joseph’s Dundalk on 23 October 1943 and ordained in Cluain Mhuire Galway on 27 August 1950.
Remains arriving in Mount St Alphonsus Monastery on Tuesday 19th April at 5.30pm.
Reposing in the Monastery on Wednesday 20th April with removal at 6.30pm to Mount St Alphonsus Church for Mass at 7.15pm.
Requiem Mass on Thursday 21st April @ 11.00am. Burial afterwards in Castlemungret Cemetery.
Redemptorist Monastery, Mount St Alphonsus, South Circular Road, Limerick and Carrigoran House, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
Survived by Redemptorist Community in Ireland and the Philippines, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family, friends. Brother of late Coleman, Joe and Pat.
